ipsy | December

So I've done a really good job this month and didn't peak at what was in my ipsy bag online before it came. I'm actually quite excited about what I got this month, and since I'm on a make-up ban for the month this is pretty exciting. So let's just dive right into my first impressions.

Be a Bombshell, The One Stick in Flustered ($16)
So upon first look, I thought this might be a cheek stain. Turns out, it's an all over use stick. Seeing as mine's a bright red/pink color, I'd imagine I'd use it more for lips and cheeks, definitely not eyes (as the site suggests). It's got a really nice, smooth consistency to it, and is easily blend-able. We'll see how much use I get out of it.

NYX, Lipstick in shade 638 ($4)
Anyone who knows me knows that I'm always on the hunt for a good orange-ish color lipstick. I know they're pretty summery, but I'm obsessed. I definitely think I'll get a lot of use out of it, especially during the holiday season (if I ever venture out).

Pop Beauty, Eyeshadow Trio in Bright Up Your Life
Ipsy nailed this one. A perfectly neutral eyeshadow trio, with everything you need to make a day or night look. Though a bit more shimmery than I would usually go for, I could see myself using this a lot.

Nicka K New York, Nail Polish in Classic Taupe (NY112) ($4.99)
I've never heard of this brand, but I love the packaging. And it's a full size sample which is always really exciting. Upon first impression, I think it might be a gel-like polish. But I'll keep you guys posted and let you know for sure.

Mirabella, Eye Blending Brush ($27)
Clearly, this bag more than paid for itself. And I saved the best for last. My mom will be happy that I can stop stealing her Chanel #12 blender (that they sadly discontinued and I will forever be heartbroken about) and use this beauty instead. I've been fairly impressed with the Mirabella products I've tried before, so no doubt this brush will be adding itself into the daily line up.

Well, that's it from me this week. I apologize for this being up late, as I was supposed to post yesterday in place of Jenny who is drowning in finals in Maryland.

Until next week,
xx

IPSY Glam Bag | November

After a long hiatus from subscription boxes, I'm back with a new bag from Ipsy. At one point I was subscribed to both Ipsy and Birchbox, and after about three months on each I unsubscribed from both. After a lot of thinking, and a lot of Eleventh Gorgeous watching, I renewed my subscription to Ipsy. Each bag never failed to impress me, so it was a no-brainer to go back. And this month's bag was no exception. I received six products this month, and though I can't give you a full review on each, I know I'll get good use out of all of them.

em by Michelle Phan Lash Gallery Clean Volume Mascara in Black
If you don't watch Michelle's channel, you need to. She has a great range of tutorials and is fantastic. Also, she created quite the make up line. Being the mascara whore that I am, of course I had to try it out immediately. And I didn't pick up my Maybelline Falsies or Benefit's They're Real for days (if you don't know, I swear by those two mascaras). So considering it's already made it's way into my make up line up, of course I would recommend it. Exactly like the name, it gives good clean volume, and also a good amount of length (not that I need help in that department, but always nice to have).

Be a Bombshell Lip Crayon in Shameless
So I haven't ever heard of this brand, but I'm definitely not opposed to more lip products in my collection. I'm actually on a ban of buying them right now but that's a different story. Anyway, I think Shameless is a great fall transition color, it's not too pink but not a super dark berry color. I haven't worn this yet so I can't tell you about the wear time, possibly a full review in the future?

Pixi Bronzer in Subtly Suntouched
As far as bronzers go I'm pretty picky and stuck to NYC's cult favorite, Sunny. I was a little skeptical of this at first because it looks fairly dark and shimmery - two things I'm not a fan of. I ended up wearing it the other day in place of Sunny and it really is very subtle, even on my skin tone, which is saying something because I'm basically a ghost. This might actually inspire me to try some more Pixi products. Which is always a dangerous spot to be in.

bh cosmetics Galaxy Chic Baked Eyeshadow in Sun
Yet another product I was slightly put off by. I typically don't go for pink tones in my eyeshadows (yet I'm still lusting after the Naked 3 and fully intend to order it first thing on payday). But yet again, I was surprised. I layered this over MAC's Painterly and it turned out to be a beautiful gold/orange/pink color. Almost a UT burnt orange if you will (and although it's my least favorite color, it looks gorgeous on). Definitely might have to use the coupon code from this month's bag to try out more from bh.

Starlooks Gem Pencil in Amethyst
If you remember from a few months back, I have a lip liner from this brand that I rarely use. Mostly because I'm too lazy for lip liner but whatever. I'll probably get the most use out of this on game days seeing as it's purple, and I'm all about purple on game day. Actually all the time. But more on game day looks later (if you follow me on twitter you know what to look out for...).

Nailtini Nail Laquer in Champagne
Along with the rose gold trend, I've been on a hunt for a good rose gold nail polish and I think I've found it. Though I haven't tried it out yet (actually going to paint my nails with it as soon as I'm done with this post), I think it will be a good staple color for the upcoming holiday season.

Well, that's all from me this week. Check ya later!
