The Fall Edit| Nail Polish

It's no secret that we here at Five Broke Girls love our nail polish. Rachel did her fall edit for nail polishes and I thought I would share some of my newly purchased favorites.

Essie in Bahama Mama: I know I've talked about this first one before in a haul, but it truly is one of my favorites. This is such a perfect fall color. It's more than a burgundy because it is more purple. It goes on opaque like I've come to expect from Essie.

H&M Nail Polish: I bought this navy H&M polish pretty impulsively (imagine that). The quality is alright, I think it took about three coats for me to get it as solid as I wanted it and it is a bit runnier of a nail polish. Overall, I keep using it because I really like the end shade.

Sonia Kashuk Nail Polish: It seemed like for the past two years I tried to hunt down the perfect darker emerald shade. Finally, and very surprisingly at that, my mom found this one for me. Sonia Kashuk has a ton of prettayy solid products and this is no different. It goes on smoothly with no bubbles and doesn't take more than a coat or two to be perfectly opaque.

Revlon Color Stay in Tradewinds: I know I have also talked about this in a video before, but I'm still in love. I bought this for a job interview but this taupe color is amazing for fall. It's a nice neutral that I feel allows me to wear a more pigmented (darker) lipstick with my outfit without feeling too overdone.

Essie in Vested Interest: I bought this at Target maybe a week ago. I first noticed it because it vaguely reminded me of maximillian strasse-her. Vested interest is along those lines but is more green than grey.

Until next time! Hopefully with a video since I have been severely slacking. But I'm not promising it.

OOTD | 09.28.2013

Hola everyone! So, Tori and I got a lil' bit fancy last night and went to see a performance at the Kauffman Center. Adulting. Anywho, since sweats and a topknot were probably in poor taste, I opted for something slightly more put-together than usual. Try not to get distracted by the onslaught of color. Though the sheer blouse left me freezing my ass off, it added a more sophisticated element. Heeled ankle boots helped to dress it up as well. I kept accessories simple, wearing my normal handbag (seen in a previous ootd) as a clutch and finishing everything with a gold collar necklace.                                                                           For muh face, I expended much more energy than I typically do. Eyeshadow was kept minimal with a bronze shade to add warmth and shimmer. I then applied a touch of Benefit's "They're Real" and followed up with some flared falsies - quite haphazardly. I'll practice. PS, I clipped a little off both ends to make them a tad less dramatic. A red-toned blush was up next for the cheeks. To finish, I opted for a deep brick red lipstick to add some drama. I'll list everything and link what I can below! Until next week, I bid you adieu.

Blouse | Forever 21
Jeggings (that's right, fancy.) | American Eagle
Ankle Boots | H&M

Eyeshadow | MAC Woodwinked

Back to School | Casual Wardrobe

Hola ladies & gents, today I thought I'd share four outfits that are typical of my back to school wardrobe (set to Usher, so obviously it's awesome). Most are fairly casual, since I quite like to be comfortable walking around campus, etc. I'd love to know what your back to school staples are, so comment below!

Speak to you all next Sunday,

Haul | Tax Free Weekend Madness

Hey there!
Long time, no see. Actually it's just been a week but it seems like longer. Especially since we forgot to post On Repeat this week. Whoops. Totally our bad we've just been busy and if a document isn't made, we'll forget and it's Friday before we know it.

Anyway, on with my post. So our lovely neighboring state of Missouri every year does the best thing they can do for shopaholics: They give us a weekend of tax-free apparel shopping. Unfortunately, accessories are not included otherwise I probably would've had a whole other haul for that. But somewhere in between my crazy busy work shifts, I was able to find time to sneak out to the shops and drop some serious dollars on some shopping. Go check out what I bought, and if your state had tax-free weekend too, show me what you got!
